Council Tax Benefit

Are you getting it? It is estimated that 1 in 3 people who could get money off their Council Tax bill are missing out.

If you are on a low income you may be entitled to help from the Council to pay your Council Tax bill. Who can claim? People who receive Pension Credit Guarantee rate are entitled to full Council Tax Benefit; however, many other people on a low income are also entitled to claim.

The amount of benefit received will depend on their income and savings levels. If you pay rent the same application form is used to claim Housing Benefit, so you can claim both at the same time.
